Bears Waive Vernon Gholston
Let the whining begin about how ol' Vern didn't get enough of a shot with his second straight defensive behemoth team.
I'd say this not only vindicates his Rexness, but also puts to bed any questions as to whether or not Vernon Gholston is NFL caliber. He is not.

The Jets gave him years...
…to get his act together.. The Bears saw enough – or so little – in a month. So it will be a smaller whine. May be he and Jamarcus can pool their money and open a football camp since they were both so under-appreciated in the league.
Favoritism
Lovie Smith was clearly favoring the guys who were actually good.

Am I just me? Or am I hot in here?
Sad
Tbh more than anything it still makes me sad that he lets his vast potential go to waste. Oh well.
Now let’s see if Maybin sticks to our roster.
Sad..
Maybe UFL or AFL or GridIron Developmental league?

Rexy was right
He should have never said what he sad last week cause now he’s looking even more bad. Others will think twice about giving him a shot if at all. Wonder what he’s going to say about Bears.
Yikes...
I feel sorry the kid. Obviously he has potential, but the kid just doesn’t know how to unleash his potential in the NFL. Also because he spoke too soon. He should have at least waited until he made the team to talk trash about the Rex. Good riddance. I say sign him to the practice squad and see if something…. ANYTHING clicks..
GANG GREEN ALL DAY!
I put God first! Anything else comes a distant second, next to a cross-country third.
Being that I'm Nigerian, being a Jets' Fan only comes natural... it's all about that old Green and White.
You see, it's not about how you won the game, it's about how you played the game.... there's a difference. If you don't understand this, then you're losing big time.
i don't feel bad
he still got a lot of money for doing nil.

at least JaMarcus was just apathetic
seems like this kid actually wants to be in the NFL, he just can’t make it work.

Can't Wait.
He didn't swindle ME out of anything
And I suspect that Woody Johnson can afford it.

but but but
he's a former 1st round pick, he shouldv'e been given a fair shot
metsjetsknicksrangers.............can it get any worse?
We should sign him to the practice squad.
He’s never lived up to his talent, but he can be a solid contributor if needed. And he already knows the system.
Some humble pie might be just what he needed. The talent is there, he just needs to take the coaching. And he’s got 10x the talent of any other practice squadder we could find.
Bring him back into the fold, forbid him to ever bull rush again, make him work on his speed rush until his timing is right (his 10yd split is absolutely explosive at 1.53), and let him earn every single snap he gets.
He could be dominant speed rusher if he tried to be. As strong as he is, he’s never going to be able to straight over power NFL OTs. The OTs are just as strong and weight 30-40lbs more than him in most cases. He simply will just never get the leverage. But if he uses his speed to gain the edge and force OTs to reach for him, he can gain leverage use his considerable power as part of a counter move. But he’s got to make the speed rush his primary move.
Vern worth the gamble as a practice squadder.

Doesn't vindicate Rex
Just shows Rex should have unloaded him even earlier.
