QB Mark Sanchez is now a team captain. Sanchise shares an interesting quote about not worrying about making everybody happy. Why, Mark, was there a certain free agent wide receiver who was not always happy?

Former Jets QB Joe Namath wouldn't have guaranteed money for Plax. I think it's a calculated risk for Tanny though.

What exactly is a Friendly's Fribble? Apparently, it's some kind of a milk shake that Tanny and Rex enjoyed many times during the first days of free agency. I bumped into this blog post as I was looking up what it was.

Braylon to Zona?
Kolb will have some weapons in Fitz and Bray.
"I've got three bullies over there waiting for Thursday," Rob Ryan said. "These are proven players, and that's what we need. I don't know if we win the all-hype team, I think that might have gone to somebody else, but we're going to beat their ass when we play them."
Just saw that. I guess he's not taking a liking to no one wanting him.
And the home of the .... JETS!!!

Braylon isn't being very smart right now
I'm a New Yorker born and bred. I support my Jets, Mets, Red Storm and Islanders. I also love my out-of-state Bulls, Clippers, Cowboys & Fighting Irish.
I agree with my man Big Joe Willie
without a workout, without even meeting the guy we call Plax up and ask him how much to get the deal done, he says 3 mil. Boom, guaranteed in his lap with a 17k add on to be cute. No practice, no physical, no work out, a guy that’s been out of football and in prison for two years.
The very least you could do is make him work for his pay week-by-week. This was total negligence by the Jets FO.

They may have seen tape of him though. He was catching passes from Matt Stafford and some QBs. It’s still a risk, obviously, but I guess they weighed 3 million vs. what he could potentially become again.

How’s this for a trade proposal… We send a conditional 2nd rounder to the Giants for Osi that becomes a 1st rounder if we win the Super Bowl.
On June 29th, 2001, the New Jersey Nets and the Phoenix Suns agreed to a trade involving Stephon Marbury and Jason Kidd.
On February 23rd, 2011, the New Jersey Nets and the Utah Jazz agreed to a trade involving Devin Harris and Deron Williams.
A new beginning. LETS GO NETS!
I would not call Eli well above average...
MAYBE throw him in above average..

IMHO, he's a downgrade from Jerome Harrison
Pretty much every time Harrison gets an opportunity to play, he goes off with some explosive runs. I don’t see why he can’t get a job as the #2 guy in a starting RB rotation.

I meant that they are buying more players for their boom or bust year.

Statistically?
I think Namath was the first QB to throw for 4000 yards so if you count that then him, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Sanchez’s was better

and whats funny
is that he threw 4000 in his third year. you never know…

Tell me how many people from Joe Willies era
have stats comparable to players today.

Johnny Unitas had some pretty fair stats
As did Sonny Jurgensen. Pretty much that is about it though, from that era.

I was just messing with you guys
Obviously Namath was a hell of a QB and a top 10 all time. I just like pulling that on people to see their reactions
