If you've got DirecTV and subscribe to the sunday ticket, you may have noticed that you haven't been billed for anything yet. You may have also noticed the commercial for DirecTV that says the Sunday Ticket is going to be free this year. That offer is only for new customers. So what is a guy suppose to do? Well..... This past weekend my DVR crashed so i had to put in a call to DirecTV, and during my 30 minute call to activate and program my new HD DVR i asked about the "Free Sunday Ticket" and was told it was only for new members. My reply... "I guess i'll have to cancel and open a new account in my wife's name". Within 5 seconds the guy on the line offered me a $20 discount for the next 6 months. Now, if you've been a Sunday Ticket holder for some time, DTV gives you a discount on the package price to begin with, so it doesn't make much sense to cancel get it for free this year, and pay full price for years to come. With all of that said, if you have DTV and the Sunday Ticket, i suggest you save yourself $120 by making a phone call and doing exactly what i did.
