2011 Free Agency Outlook 2.0

Before the draft I posted a small list of free agents this is my updated wishlist with some of last years stats and Undrafted Free Agents.

Defensive End - After the draft the D-line is one of our strenths but if we can get another DE to rotate in as well as resigning Shaun Ellis this D- Line will be dominent. ( All lists are in no particular order)

  1. Miami Dolphins DE/NT Tony McDaniel - Never hurts to bring in a divison rival player
Height: 6-7   Weight: 310   Age: 26
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles
____ 30 _ 2.5 _____________ 0

  2. New York Giants DT Barry Cofield - The Giants should be parting ways after signing Canty to a monster deal and now they draft 2 DTs in the 2nd in 2 years Cofield could be successfull as a 3-4 DE and he woudnt have to move.
Height: 6-4   Weight: 306   Age: 27
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles
____ 54 ___ 4 ____________ 1

Outside Linebacker - Some depth needs to be addressed as the only other OLB on our roster is Westerman I'd expect a low money role player to come in to camp.

  1.  Cleveland Browns OLB Matt Roth - Flourished with Rob Ryan as a good player on a bad team, he is a young player who may not transition well to a switch back to a 4-3.
Height: 6-4   Weight: 275   Age: 28
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles   Int  Pass Deflections
____ 86 _ 3.5 _____________ 0 _ 0 _____________ 2

  2. New York Giants DE/OLB Mathias Kiwanuka - Kiwanuka is the missing piece to this defence but he has failed to stay healthy, last year it was a seriuos neck injury but if he can manage to stay healthy he would be an instant upgrade over either of our current starters he has started several games at OLB showing he has the abilty to drop back and could become a top player in the league at the 3-4 Rush linebacker position.
Height: 6-5   Weight: 265   Age: 28

  3. Oakland Raiders OLB Jarvis Moss - Didnt have any good stats last year but multiple reports came out saying he was an extremly hard worker and great team guy (I would be too if I just too the paycut he did from 1st round money to league minimum) who may not be retained after the new coaching change at the minimum the jets should bring this guy into camp and see what happens.
Height: 6-7   Weight: 257   Age: 26

  4. San Francisco 49ers OLB Travis LaBoy - Didnt stay healthy last year, but when healthy he is a good pass rusher.
Height: 6-3   Weight: 250   Age: 29
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections
____ 28 ___ 5 ____________ 1 __0 ____________ 2

Safties - Everybody knows the Jets need safety depth especially when you cant get a person to stop stubing tickets on a train to join your team but luckly for the jets there is alot of unsigned safety talent.

  1.  Oakland Raiders FS Michael Huff - Has proven to be one of the better safetys in coverage, has to be a great day knowing your leavin Oakland and other teams want you. Because most talent in Oakland seems to die.
Height: 6-1   Weight: 205   Age: 27
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections
____ 77 ___ 4 _____________3 _ 3 _____________7

  2. Baltimore Ravens SS Dawan Landry - He could follow many other of his teammates to the Jets for Rex Ryan.
Height: 6-0   Weight: 210   Age: 28
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections
____ 86 ___ 1 ____________ 1 _ 0 _____________4

  3. Buffalo Bills FS Donte Whitner - Bills GM recently said they most likly wont be pursing Whitner when there is an offseason, he is an excellant tackler and playmaker racking up 96 solo tackles he is questionable in coverage but so are many of our safties this guy could be a playmaker.
Height: 5-10   Weight: 208   Age: 25
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections
___ 140 _ 0.5 _____________ 1 __ 1 ____________7

  4. Philadelphia Eagles FS Quintin Mikell - After drafting his replacement in the 2nd the Eagles maybe parting ways with Mikell and he could be an upgrade over what we currently have.
Height: 5-10   Weight: 203   Age: 30
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections
____ 88 ___ 1 ____________ 1 _ 3 ____________15

  5. Undrafted Free Agent Hawaii SS Mana Silva - 14 picks in two years he has the stats, and the physical attirbutes to be like so many other from undrafted to stud players.
Height: 6-1   Weight: 212   Age: 22  40 Time: 4.44  Bench Press: 23
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections
____ 74 ___ 1 ____________ 0 _ 8 ____________14

  6. Undrafted Free Agent UNC FS Deunta Williams - Has poor man coverage skills was his biggest knock in college but for an UDFA there in no risk bringing him into camp and see if he makes it.
Height: 6-2   Weight: 210   Age: 23  40 Time: 4.53  Bench Press: ??
Tackles Sacks  Forced Fumbles  Int  Pass Deflections(Broke Leg)
____ 50 ___ 0 ____________ 0 _ 0 ____________0

Kickers - We didnt go out and sign Novak the best kicker in the UFL for no reason, Folk will not be back but that is fine this is perhaps the best possible FA kicker class ever.
