NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 28: New York Jets fans Peter Merante Sr. and his son Peter Jr. hold up a sign which reads "Let them play!" on the street outside the venue prior to the 2011 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall on April 28, 2011 in New York City. (Photo by Chris Trotman/Getty Images)
Back for the final day of the 2011 NFL Draft, I am live from Radio City Music Hall. Thus far the Jets have gone a long way to solidifying their defensive line, taking Muhammad Wilkerson of Temple and Kenrick Ellis of Hampton. Gang Green has four picks left today unless Mike Tannenbaum moves up, which is always a distinct possibility.
The most obvious need today is an outside linebacker prospect who can get to the quarterback. However, once we get late into the Draft, it is probably best to try and find the most productive player on the board regardless of position. (I would argue teams should abide by this in every round, but that is a different story.)
This will be our first open thread of the day. I will provide posts and overflow threads as necessary.
