I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting weary of all the possibilities and prospects, and ready for it to be here!!! I'm excited, but also a little worried. At any rate, I've come up with a draft that I think has a chance to happen, and one I'd be pretty happy with. Details following the jump.
#30 Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona - I think Rex loves Reed's motor, speed and potential, plus knows that he has to do something to find the best OLB prospect he can in this draft to improve the pass rush, so goes with Reed over Carimi or Taylor.
#94 Jaiquawn Jarrett, S, Temple - Jarret may not still be there at #94, but if he is, I think the Jets jump at the chance to take him. He's already very solid vs the run, is a solid tackler and hitter, and has a lot of potential vs the pass.
#126 John Moffit, OG, Wisconsin - I think that Rex would love to grab a CB here like Chykie Brown, CB, Texas,especially with questions about Cromartie's return and whether Wilson is ready to step up, however, with Brandon Moore recovering from offseason hip surgery and not available until August, with the question marks surrounding the RT spot, and with Mr. T's predilection for taking OL in the lower rounds of the draft for Callahan to develop, I think they hedge their bets and take Moffit as insurance.
#161 Cedric Thornton, DE, Southern Arkansas - dominated against lesser competition, is strong, has the tools to develop into a solid player
#194 Denarius Moore, WR, Tennessee - soft hands, smooth, NFL ready, 4.43 speed, disciplined route runner.*
#208 Chris Nield, NT, West Virginia - run-stuffer, rotational player
UDFA Gabe Miller, OLB, Oregon State;
*I used the PFW Chart where NFL teams rate where players will go. According to that, Moore will go at the bottom of the 6th Rd.
