The New York Giants have chosen Stefan Wisniewski 6'3 313
, Center,  Penn State with their 2nd round pick

The Giants picked Anthony Castonso OT with their First Round pick. The Giants have only six picks in 2011 ( their 5th round was sent to Minnistota for QB Sage Rosenfeld and KR Darius Renaud) so it is very difficult to choose another  Offensive lineman, but there is a critical need. Stefan Wisniewski has played both Center and Guard in a four year career with Penn State, he is a scholar athlete, and excellent technician, has NFL bloodlines , blocks equally well for both the run and the pass, and is a top 50 pick. The Giants starting Center is Shaun O Hara who is 34. Second string  Center Adam Koets suffered an ACL injury last year,ending his season. Rich Seubert LG is 32, his season was ended with a broken leg. Seubert's backup at LG is Kevin Booth who is a free agent. So Stefan's ability to play both Center and Guard can reestablish the interior of the Giants offensive line and keep the other Manning safe. Certainly the alternative in the second round for the Giants would be running back. Mikel LeShoure RB is still on the board, and would help the faltering Brandon Jacobs and inconsistent Bradshaw, a tough choice, but the belief is that this is a deep draft for RB's and hope to catch one later.
