I like many other Jets fans was admittedly less than thrilled to find out the Jets picked up a LB draft bust only several months after dropping another one who shall not be named.
Much like that former Jets LB, Aaron Maybin played well in the preseason, only this time he was given a pink slip instead of a job. Then injuries started piling up instead of pass rush, and Maybin got the call from the Jets on the same day he got serious family news.
Now, 3 months and many incredible pass rush performances later, Maybin looks like the best pass rusher the team has ever had in the Rex Ryan era.
But now, as the season winds down, some questions emerge that must be answered before the off-season: Is Maybin's incredible production a mirage, masked by the fact that nobody else on the team can pass rush? Can he even be an every down LB? But most importantly, how much room is there for him to get better?
While I have my own opinions on these questions, I would like to know what some of you think.
