Jets should rethink their offense

The league is moving to a pass first, then run if you have to. The ground and pound is a great time control part of the game. Turnovers are a big part of the game also. Turnovers can get a team in the hole very quickly. The ground and pound will not get quick scores to get a team out of a big hole. Most successful teams have great passing offenses. They can come back from large deficits. These teams can overcome a bad day on defense. Teams like the Packers, Saints, and the Pats can outscore their opponents while giving up a lot of yardage and points on defense. The Jets should think about an O-line that can give a QB more time to execute an effective passing game. The future is the pass first, then run. Moving the ball quickly down the field for scores is the NOW NFL. Jets should think about upgrading their offense to the NOW. Pats will keep scoring a lot of points. The Bills are getting better and will be scoring more points through the air. Jets need to score more through the air to keep up. An effective passing game should be THE big part of the Jets offense.

They were hoping to transition to that earlier in the season. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.
