I sit here, in green and white face paint, with my head slumped and a long trek home after watching a HOME game of the Jets, given to the giants. I wont take anything away from the G-Men, they capitalized on all of the Jets mistakes. I'm a long time Jets Fan... however, i have to admit, that after today's loss, it should be evident enough that the Jets have MAJOR problems on offense... This season has been screaming out that the Jets have problems. And that they have continued to ignore it. We as a fan base, are tired of mediocrity that is masked with Rex Ryan's misguided bravado. But the Jets are losing fans!!! More after the Jump
Rex, you need to give up that whole loyalty bid. SCHOTTY SUCKS!!! There isn't a SINGLE Jets fan that would argue with me. The analysts want to blame RR, but its really Schotty that has dropped the ball. I witnessed with my own eyes, the debacle of schotty's scheme. Sanchez is a decent QB, (when given opportunities), however, Schotty calls plays, which don't make any sense. Running when you are down by 13 points in the 3rd quarter is beyond any reason. You need to THROW the ball and try to gain major yds. Instead, schotty forces Sanchez to make short throws that EVERYONE in the league, already knows is gonna be short throws. SOMEBODY FIRE THIS GUY!!!
Hunter on the O line has sucked SOOOOO bad! and while i wont take anything away from those defensive teams that have made great plays against the Jets, a lot of it has to do with Hunter's lack of skills. And has made it difficult for the rest of the O line to properly block, because they are constantly worried about a missed blocking assignment because hunter decided not to come help the Jets win.
With these 2 Morons out of the play, the Jets may have been 11 and 5, with a playoff spot locked up. Instead now we have to rely on luck, where 2 teams have to lose. But i think the "Football Gods" are tired of giving us that much needed luck. The Jets had chances during the ENTIRE giants game to score and go up BIG. Instead, they run 3 and out plays, allow mediocre players/coaches to influence the team outcome and continue to turn the ball over. Why should i be a fan? if the Jets don't want to play, then don't waste my time and $. Don't waste my energy, because i can always root for a team that WANTS to win.
When those 2 things change, Then maybe.... MAYBE... we will have a season where we will TRULY be competitive. till then, while i remain a Jets fan, i remain ever skeptical that the Jets will ever get anywhere, where luck or happenstance, or whatever have you, may influnce of this teams SB run.
While this loss makes no difference from any other loss this season, I am dangerously close to losing faith in this team. I have been a Jets fan for 15 years, and while i have witnessed many disheartening losses this season has only shown that the FO has dropped the ball and needs to fix things. To continue to shoot yourself in the foot will lose you some fans. And i am near that point. This season is lost, even if the Jets make the playoffs, they lack the tools on coaching/O-line to prove themselves worthy to make any kind of splash. Front office, MAKE MOVES to improve the team... or else you can see me on Craigslist selling my PSL to some poor soul, that doesn't know what hes getting into.
I want to continue to be a Jets fan, but what the point when it seams that the team has no inclination to wanting to win?! Make the right calls, and then if you lose i wont be as upset... till then, You Have one more season till i leave and say goodbye to the stupidity of the Jets Front Office.
PS: REX RYAN, please drink a tall glass of STFU juice about any SB runs, EVER, because while it may work in team meetings, it only adds pressure to the your team when you say it in the media making you look like a bunch of jackasses when you do not deliver.
