What We Need Next Week...
I like many of you want to bury my head and cry right now. However, this is a 16 game season and we've seen crazier things happen in a season.
That being said, here is the scenario for the Jets getting into the Playoffs next week. All of the following conditions must be met:
1 - Jets beat Dolphins - easier said than done after the last two weeks of strong Dolphins football. This will either be the first stepping stone into the playoffs or a complete repeat of the 2008 season.
2 - Ravens beat Bengals - a very likely scenario. The Bengals barely beat the overachieving Cardinals and haven't played a team as versatile as the Ravens. And the Ravens will try to win out to get that Division title.
3 - Chiefs beat Broncos OR Chargers beat Raiders - complete tossup. You really never know which Broncos or Raiders will show up to any given game. Most probably, the Broncos will beat the Chiefs and the Chargers will beat the Raiders. Don't fear the Chargers though - they can't touch us with a win.
