Nicks and Cruz don't think highly of Revis.
Is Darelle Revis the best corner in the NFL? After a very long pause, Hakeem Nicks said "He's a decent corner."
"Teams aren't really that scared of him anymore." -Victor Cruz on Darelle Revis.
Very interested to see how Revis reacts. These two receivers aren't the Jason Hill's of the NFL. Revis is sure to know who these two "dudes" are.
With how much this game matters to both these teams playoff chances I am looking forward to seeing how this game plays out and the match-ups between our secondary and their receivers.

Well, Santonio Holmes doesn't think that highly of our secondary and called them out too.
Obviously Revis is the best corner in the NFL….I just think its gamesmanship and a bit of trashtalking haha.
In any case, If I were Rex….I’d put Revis on Nicks. Nicks is one of the most physical WRs in the game, and the Jets would be a lot better off with Revis on him and Cro on Cruz. Cruz has huge numbers this season because Nicks opens things up for him.

Woah. What did Santonio say about the secondary?
I missed that one.

Santonio Holmes took a shot at #NYG secondary by saying: “We know plays can be made over their head,” also calling them poor tacklers. #NYJ

I don't mind a little smack talking but Santonio should be focused on actually catching the ball

Holmes' comment
is a little reminesent to me. Reminds me off when Ronde Barber said about Eli, “We know he can be had.”
Let’s hope for a similar outcome.
I don’t mind the talk this week, it was expected. I say have fun boys, this could be it these next two weeks.

Revis on nicks, cromartie on manningham, and Wilson on Cruz.
If anything I think the jets will rotate the coverages. Cromartie can hang with any receiver in the league and he’s really progressed as a corner this year. Wilson will have a challenge vs Cruz, but I think he will hold his ground well… Revis is business as usual. Nicks doesn’t know what going up against a corner like revis so he can call him decent all he wants. Revis has shut down and babies receivers better than all these guys.
It doesn't stop our offense is Nicks isn't dominating.
Eli spreads the ball around very wellas evidenced by Nicks and Cruz both having about 70 catches and both over 1,000 yards. MM has about 35 catches as the #3.
Look, we have one of the best offenses in football but a terrible defense and that has translated to a 7-7 record.

Revis the best and most physical corner should go up against Nicks, best and most physical WR of Giants.
Manningham is more of a burner than Cruz, who gets open by finding holes in the intermediate areas and sharp cuts on slants and outs.
Don’t know too much about Cro and Wilson’s tendencies…so plan according to that ^

This is the the theme of WR's this year.
If you want to get some extra media attention just say that Revis is overrated.

Not really sure that holds water this week.

Teams really aren't that scared of Revis anymore?
I haven’t heard that one before. I still thought most players fully respected him.
Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.
Revis is “decent” coming from the guy who let the ball hit im in the facemask on a wide open bomb for a TD.

What the hell is Cruz talking about?
He burned the hell out of Nnamdi now he thinks he can take a shot at the Champ?

Ha! Cruz beats Nnamdi cause Nnamdi was A in the slot and B, playing zone coverage slot.

Cruz burned Nnamdi on single man coverage as well. Burned him both games.

I think it more or less quiets any debate about best CB in the league...

I think the Jets like to rotate coverage,
but I would expect to see the matchup of Revis on Nicks on the outside, more times than not because Nicks is not a speedster and they can fight the physical corner vs. physical receiver matchup.
Who is faster, Cro or Wilson? I think Cro is and if that is the case then he should be on Manningham on the other side with Wilson covering Cruz in the slot (?)
