Jets Crush the Chiefs, Lose Jim Leonhard
The Jets put together a complete performance today, crushing the Chiefs by a 37-10 score. It rivals the game New York played in Orchard Park for the most complete this team has played this season. Gang Green now sits at 8-5 on the season. This team also got a bit of help in the Wild Card race, and more might be on the way later this afternoon. The Chiefs shot themselves in the foot plenty throughout, but the Jets made them pay and did not hand the Chiefs any gifts of their own.
Jim Leonhard's injury was the only damper on the day. The safety suffered a knee injury intercepting a pass and was carted to the locker room. He looked visably upset.
The schedule gets a bit tougher from here, but the last three games are winnable. Celebrate the win below. I will have the official recap up in a bit.

First time for everything
Rex Ryan has proven that history means nothing when it comes to the Jets. This isn’t the SOJ.

There are a lot of those types of stats out there...
but guess what…There is a first time for everything! Sure there is a possibility Philly comes to play and there is a possibility we knock off Philly…right now we just don’t know. As of right now that stat means nothing. The only stat that matters will be the score at the end of that particular game!

The last time we played in Philadelphia...
We all thought that Chad Pennington was going to be the best quarterback evarrrrr

Man wat a great win! Of course all our games left are must wins to make the playoffs. But we suffered a horrible loss today with Jimmy going down. Pray to God he comes back healthy soon. Can’t afford to lose our better safety.

knee looked like an ACL given the way it was examined and his reaction.
So yeah, I’m not feeling dampened at all by the loss of Leonhard. I didn’t think going away from Kerley on punts was a great idea, and I’m not saddened at the prospect of a more athletic safety taking Leonhard’s spot in the starting lineup.
Not that I wish an injury on the guy or anything. I like him just fine as a human being.
At the very least they have no depth
Pool is out a lot…and who is left on the depth chart?
Guess we’re gonna find out if the new guys we signed are any good when we need depth.

Not only did the Jets win
but both Cinci and Houston loss which is huge for our playoff chances!

great win ......
greene and sanchez were very good all game , d line was awesome all game .
special mention for Vlad for his run blocking and our new safety ( mind gone blank for his name ) who looked great on ST with some solid tackles
if its for you it won't pass you
Eagles looked like a match-up nightmare a few weeks ago.
But with the way Pouha and Maybin are playing, I like our chances just fine. Maybin is winning on the edge consistently. And Pouha is pure destruction in the middle. Their WRs are fast, but they don’t scare me when we can throw Revis and Cro out there.
And I like our offense against their defense all day every day.

If Sanchez is this sharp next week
He’ll light up the Eagles.

The offensive line for the Eagles is not great
So if our big guys upfront can get after it and force turnovers and mistakes, I like our chances.
