Thursday Night Football Open Thread

Tonight we have an unremarkable Thursday night game between the underachieving Eagles and the bad Seahawks. The league certainly could have given us a better matchup. On paper, Philly looks like the favorite. They have looked like the favorite in plenty of games they have lost this season, though. They are also coming off a crushing loss that effectively ended their Playoff hopes. It is difficult to tell how they will respond. Further, they have to fly across the country on a short week to play at a loud and difficult venue for visiting teams. This might not be the highest quality of football, but these signs at least point to a potentially competitive game.

Interesting story on Nnamdi a few days ago

about how the Eagles are shifting him around the defensive backfield a lot, and how with the Raiders they would just stick him on one guy. It sounds like if he would have signed with the Jets he would have been a bit more comfortable if they used him like they use Revis.
