If it's Wednesday, then it's time for injury/participation reports. You know where to ask the questions.
As always it appears that half of the New England Patriots are injured. S Josh Barrett injured himself in his first game back and has landed himself on IR. NE's best safety, Patrick Chung, did not participate at practice today. He fell hard on his foot on Sunday and stayed in the game until Belichick forced him off. He was replaced by S Sergio Brown who immediately got flagged for PI for a billion yards bringing Eli right to the goalline when the Pats had been ahead of 3. Mmmhmm. As of right now, the Patriots have former Jet James Ihedgbo slated to start at S. Behind him is Sergio Brown and Sterling Moore(promoted today off of the practice squad...) The Chung injury bears watching. The only game he missed this season was @Bills.
At linebacker, the Patriots just got Jerod Mayo back as a full-time starter. He missed the last game versus the Jets. However, MIKE Brandon Spikes has an MCL sprain that'll be keeping him out of the Jets game.
The CBs haven't been doing that bad lately. It's at S and LB where the Pats defense has been softest.
