Rex Ryan has just announced that DE Mike DeVito is likely out this week against the Washington Redskins. DeVito was injured this past weekend with an MCL sprain. He's injured his MCL before, however this time it is in the other knee. It's being estimated as a 2-3 week injury.
This is, of course, not good. Rex is saying the injury was in DeVito's "good knee," and as one of our best run stoppers, is always a big loss. It will be likely up to DE Ropati Pitoitua and the rest of the rotation to step up and stop the Redskins in their tracks. Thankfully they are not a power running team, so the loss shouldn't be devastating. I expect DT Kenrick Ellis to be active as well to help shore up the rotation, but we'll know more as the week goes on. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
