It is seldom good when an NFL team has a game Thanksgiving weekend consider a must win. That is just the position the Jets have put themselves into this year. Because of their uneven play, they have virtually eliminated any margin for error the rest of the way. Guaranteeing the Playoffs quite possibly means winning out.
Today they could not have a better opponent on paper to get healthy against. As bad as things have been for the Jets lately, they have been even worse for the Bills. Buffalo has not played a competitive game since Gang Green blew them out in Orchard Park three weeks ago. To make matters worse, Buffalo's most productive offensive player was just lost for the year this week. The Jets also had extra time to lick their wounds and prepare after playing a Thursday night contest last week. Plus the Jets have won their last three against the Bills handily. Of course, games are not played on paper, and New York has a tendency to struggle in these games.

That could complicate things a little bit if the Jets decide to make a change after the season. It means they’d have to eat two years of his contract, which means more than $2 million

I don’t know what the actual play was supposed to be, but that did look like horrible route-running by Plax to me. Still a poor decision, but I don’t think Plax is helping.

A Quarterback’s job is to read the defense, even if he is being told to throw one way (which he wouldn’t be, and that pass was intended for Plax, not Holes), he has to use his judgment better.

I don't get why we don't spread the field and run up the gut.
If we spread it, we try to pass it. If we bunch the middle, they just try to jam it up the middle. It’s very frustrating to watch. I was actually shocked by the rollout.

Stevie is a great receiver with awesome hands and vision. Revis’ tackling is as good as his coverage, but I think he may have met his match.

Fitz has had to make perfect throws to get the ball there, and he has. Its not a failing of Revis when any corner in the world could not make the play (except maybe years ago when offensive players weren’t protected like fine china).

Rex’s whole image is protecting his guys, players and coaches alike. Throwing one under the bus would be more damaging to that than anything.
