The guy threw the ball 40 times and 32 of those passes were 5 yards slants and out patterns. How smart of a CB do you need to be before you realize the guy is going to run a few feet and break for the inside, or 5 yards and head for the sideline? I'm surprised Sanchez doesn't have 4 INT's a game.
Point is, Sanchez is not a top 10 QB. He's middle of the pack. Maybe for right now, maybe forever. I don't know. What I do know is if you don't have a top 10 guy behind the helm you gotta do some things to make a change. The Jets need a game changer like Adrian Peterson, or a guy that can handle the rock 30 times a game. It's easier to find a stud RB than a franchise QB.
Hopefully next year the first thing they do is get a guy that can run for 125 yards a game. Second thing they need is a RT. Hunter is not going to beat his man most of the time. Ducasse definitely isn't. Get a real RT, like Bryant Mckinnie who was cut by the VIkings and ran to the Ravens. He was a left tackle, but would have been better on the right side than either of the guys on the team right now.
I don't care if you sign, trade, or draft these players. But the Jets need a RT, a better RB(one that plays at a high level consistently), and a safety to replace either Leonard or Smith in pass coverage against bigger receivers and tight ends. Lastly, I think if the offense is worse this year than last year, Brian Schottenheimer needs to be let go. But lets give him the rest of the season to turn this train wreck offense around.
