New York Jets at Denver Broncos Wednesday Injury Report
LaDainian Tomlinson, Brodney Pool, and Jeremy Kerley are out. Kerley is a bit of a surprise since he was able to return from the injury in Sunday's games against the Pats. One would assume Jim Leonhard would handle punt returns after Joe McKnight's adventures. Will there be a temptation in the thin air of Denver to stick McKnight back there with punters potentially outkicking their coverage and making catches easier?
The entire report is under the jump.

Tomorrow will be McKnight's time to shine
With LT out, he may get more carries than he has previously. He didn’t look overly impressive against Buffalo on his 9 rushing attempts so he should be able to show if he can adequately spell Greene. Unless he proves he can, I figure he’ll end up like Brad Smith as a small offensive role player and ST return man.

those were garbage time runs and he did have a 20+ that was yanked away by flags.
And the home of the .... JETS!!!
Now lets get a G-D snack!!!

I don't think he gets those 18 yards if Sanchez isn't holding. The CB would've been in position to make the tackle.
Most of his carries did come late in the 4th, but I wasn’t terribly impressed by his runs. He only had one carry for a loss of yards I believe, but there wasn’t much that impressed me. I’m not saying he did bad, just not impressive, that’s all. He ran inside on most carries against Buffalo so hopefully they have more plays for McKnight that are designed to go outside.
Again, all I’m really saying is this is the game for McKnight to show he can be the spell RB. If he shows something, he may take a few carries from LT and may go into next season as the 2nd RB and LT may be gone. That’d be the ideal scenario for NY.

My fear is that McKnight will not get significant snaps
and that Rex is going to be lulled into a “let’s play ground and pound with these boys” and make it Greene vs. the Denver running game, with too much confidence in the ability to win a close game.
We do not want this game within a score in the 4th Q. We would just be begging for a Tebow miracle and our season being flushed down the WC.
