NYJ @ Den

i know i am too early   but i am going out of town tomm and its a 4-day-week   if  u win tonight   u will be in the mix  for a 1 seed if u lose  its a playoff game for both teams    yes Denver is 4-5  yes the JETS are better  on paper  but  the last 2 weeks   i have picked against Denver in my pick with my unc who is a steelers fan

well  this game will be deiced on big plays  can Denver chew up the clock   play clean   force your QB to throw
rem last year u needing a pass INT on a 4th down to beat Denver   our top 2 RB were INJ today   i do not know  if they will go at this time

don't worry if Denver wins because we play NE well and Buff is 50-50     Denver plays a lot like NYJ now ground and pound our D is starting to play well we can pressure  the QB   if Denver can find a way  to beat a great football team in the Jets    the AFC West    Can be Denver to lose

well, when you click on the profile, and see chronic fatigue and cerebral palsy arthritic, I guess it's understandable

though that seems like something that may be hard to believe over the net.

In any case, I am mildly concerned about losing to the Broncos. Strong run game, playing in the altitude on a short week sandwiched between 2 divisional games and against an offense that’s really unconventional. Our history against the Broncos isn’t very promising either.

yes, it is...

and j-man is a great guy, and I’m very proud to have him as Bronco. He is a friend and an example for everybody, as he respects all the fans of all the franchises equally.

Our ground attack worked very well against the Chiefs, but we lost our duo bests HBs… So, let’s see the moves our front-office will do, because Moreno was put on IR today and we need to add another HB.

J-man shows respect to everyone here, is never rude, and will give you his honest answer to any question you ask. The guy is first class all the way, the first few comments here are the complete opposite.

J-man, can denver keep winning when your coach obviously doesn’t trust the QB to throw the ball?

Throwing in my 2 cents for my Broncos

Yeah, we can win…this is a team game we play and while I’m of the opinion that QB is our weakest personnel area, we’ve already proved we can do it…we’re 3 – 1 with this QB that the coaches (and myself) don’t trust to throw the ball.

To answer your post J

I’d be lying if I said I was overly concerned about Denver, but they’re pulling together wins and they’ve beaten at least one team we lost to.

You have some great draft picks, especially on defense. But I feel you will have a very hard time being successful with Tebow under center against a defense like the Jets. I will say, ’m wrong as often as I am right.

Oh Tim,

Be careful on your words about namesake… He is just a work in progress and it’s too early to make any statement about his success or failure, despite of what the MSM is saying. He can put some points on the score board with great plays, as he can have a crappy game with a great comeback, or he can have an awful day as well.

IMO, throwing 2-8 in a win (Playing all 4 quarters) is not an awful day,

it’s a gameplan by your OC to keep the ball out of the air. He reminds me of a slightly faster Big Ben with no accuracy. He can throw the deep ball and run, so could JP Losman and you can see where that got him…well it did get him a UFL championship, but nothing in the NFL.

It is a mess honestly

There’s a faction of “Bronco” fans that think Tebow is the greatest and can do no wrong…they are actually just Tebow fans. There’s a faction that love him being on our team and cheer him like no tomorrow. There’s a faction that think he’s better off elsewhere (like the TE position).

Its complicated is the best answer. I know that as critical as I am of his passing, I LOVE cheering the guy on on game days. I really hope this next off season he works a lot harder on his passing game because it needs some serious attention.

by sadaraine on Nov 14, 2011 4:47 PM EST up reply actions

For my 2 cents

We’re winning because of him. It’s like we’re running the wildcat with a guy who can throw the ball decently most of the time. You can’t focus on our running backs or else he’ll run it himself or throw it over your head until he eventually connects. There’s so much to worry about that something is going to be open on just about every down. Plus, we’re keeping our offense on the field for long drives which not only wears down defenses, it keeps ours fresh to play better than they have in a very long time. That said, we’re not invincible by a long shot. If you figure out how to shut down that option, I’m afraid that Tebow’s not good enough yet to beat you with the pass. And that is what will determine how great he becomes. If he can become deadly with his arm, we’re going to be a scary team. If he can’t, someone will eventually learn how to shut down the gimmicky run game we’ve got going and it will become a footnote in our history. Unfortunately for you guys, you’ve got a short week to prepare for it, and no one has figured out how to stop it yet. Fortunately for you, I’m not sure how losing Moreno, and McGahee maybe being hurt will affect us…

None of us go out and play for stats. You just do whatever you can to help the team out. -- Eddie Royal

The road team always loses in Thursday night games

The records are astounding bad for the away teams in these Thursday games, but we did manage to eek out a W in Canada two years ago despite Braylon dropping a perfect TD pass from, Clemens if I remember correctly, so we at least are 2-0 on Thursdays the last 2years

There's no way we can lose to Tebow.

I can’t see the defense stooping that low, even as bad as they were last night. We have this in the bag even on only 3 days rest.

Be careful man...

Oakland has a team that is just built to beat us on defense…and we beat them a couple weeks ago.

If our O-line keeps playing the way it has been this game will be a lot more uncomfortable than you might think…don’t get me wrong. I don’t think we’re in the same class as the Jets by a stretch, but we are a young team getting better…and in a game where the phrase “on any given Sunday” has meaning you shouldn’t overlook teams like ours.

Good to see you j-man.

Are you happy with the Tebow experiment, or do you wish they would end it? Are you concerned that if Tebow does well enough the front office will keep him around rather than planning for the future with a more traditional QB? Thanks for dropping by.

Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.

by bm01bath on Nov 14, 2011 3:47 PM EST reply actions

There's one thing most Bronco fans can agree on

We wanted the Orton experiment over. Most of the fan base is fine with Tebow for now, because it means Orton is off the field.

I think the jury is still completely out on Tebow’s future with us. He hasn’t sold me personally, though I’m seeing signs of him getting into a groove with things. Even though we only threw it 8 times vs KC there was only 1 throw that was awful. The others were all catchable and in many cases the WR’s didn’t make the play.

Now for my 2 cents

I think the Broncos are gonna have a looooooooong night ahead of them . Just because i think the Jets D is 1 of the worst match ups for the Broncos O . The jets are well versed in the “wildcat” due to seeing Miami twice a yr. They also are able to simulate a fashion of it in practice and the Jets them selves were pretty adept at running it in yrs past.

by Troy O on Nov 14, 2011 9:31 PM EST reply actions

Here's where I disagree

If anyone besides New England is going to give you fits, it will be us. Your D is built to stop the pass. Just look at the personnel Ryan has brought in and what he puts on the field. He LOVES to put 5-6 DBs out there (granted one of the safeties plays more like a LB anyway, but still…).

I think we can create some interesting mismatches in the run game that will cause your team fits. Your run D is mediocre compared to your pass D. And unless Tebow and the coaches get stupid (which they haven’t so far…knock on wood), we aren’t going to hand your defense points.

That means your offense has to do something. This I’m not concerned about at all. As long as they put Bailey on Buress we’re golden and I doubt highly Sanchez will be able to put lots of points on the board.

I think this is a very winnable game for us. But I do notice I had lots of “ifs” along the way. :) I’ll enjoy watching either way.

Our D is built to stop the pass because the Jets use 6 or more DBs more than anyone else. They rely on 4 or 5 “bigs” to stop the run, and they usually do.

If you let the Jets go heavy and play run all game, especially with Revis and Cro, its real easy to stack the box and not have many qualms about it.

Well certainly you Broncos fans should be proud

You guys seem to give your all every game, and despite the feelings about your QB from many people, he does seem to play hard every snap.

I worry about the way we seem to start many games, and falling into a hole where our O-Coordinator goes to the back of his Jonas Brothers Trapper Keeper, where he keeps his plays, his list of “football definitions” (some football words are big and silly – tight end – hehehe) and decides to go empty backfield for the rest of the game.

I feel that if we score first, we will win….but I hope that Rex and company are drilling into these guys that Denver will play this game as if it was the Super Bowl, and that they better not come out flat, miss a 2.5 yard field goal, or throw an int in the endzone early…
