Marcus Lattimore 2010 Highlights (via GamecockPolo2)
[Keep in mind that he's a TRUE FRESHMAN in these highlights from last year.]
6-1, 230 and he's looking like he'll be elite. Right now it looks like Trent Richardson will be the first back taken, and deservedly so, but Lattimore might have more talent. Dude has good speed, great agility, great vision, great hands out of the backfield, he breaks tackles, he's versatile... I LOVE Lattimore. He has it all, and he can stay on the field in any situation. You can go I-formation and bang him up the gut, or go 4-wide and use him on draws and screens. He can sneak out and run routes, or pick through traffic and run to daylight on draws.
There's a chance he stays in school and goes for being the first back taken in 2013, after his junior year. But I think his draft stock might be too high after this season to take that risk. Right now, in the beginning of October, he's already rushed for 677 yards (5.5 ypc) and 9 TDs. And I heard this morning that he's getting some Heisman pub. He might have no choice but to enter this year (as a true Sophmore!!!) and he might be in our range.
I think Lattimore is a lock to be a very good RB in the NFL. And he has the tools to be a great one.
