In surprising turn of events, Manish Mehta is reporting that C Colin Baxter, waived from the team the other day, has chosen to sign with the Chargers practice squad. Baxter cleared waivers and was free to sign with any team he desired. He agreed to resign with the Chargers, from whence he came, rather than with the Jets practice squad. Interesting! I have absolutely no clue what to make of this. He probably just likes his some guys on the Chargers better, or realizes how rare it is that Nick Mangold will go down with an injury.

Also, the Jets will reportedly resign Matt Kroul and Dennis Landolt back to the practice squad. There's not much here expect it's weird how much shuffling the Jets are doing with the lower end of the roster. Especially since everyone they keep cutting and signing are the same players.
