The Runway: Five Questions With Baltimore Beat Down, Part 4
My fourth question for Bruce of Baltimore Beat Down is about what the Jets could potentially exploit tonight.
What would you consider your team's biggest weakness?
It obviously has to be in pass coverage as two of our four top corners are either injured or out for the year. Rookie Jimmy Smith impressed enough in camp to be expected to start but hurt himself on the first play he was on the field in the first game of the regular season, although he is expected back after the Bye next week. Domonique Foxworth was placed on IR for the second season in a row this week. If the pass rush is there, I am not worried but if not, this is the one are that definitely can be exploited.
Bruce hits the nail on the head. For the second straight year, the Ravens are dealing with injuries in the back of the defense. If the Jets can protect Mark Sanchez, they will have a chance to exploit advantages on the outside. That is easier said than done, though. Baltimore has two really good pass rushers in Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata.

Somebody tell Colin Baxter to start diving at knee caps as soon as the opening snap.
If he’s playing today I expect to see a whole lot of stuff like that to keep the line from rushing up the middle.
Seriously though, the real problem with giving Mark time does actually start with Baxter. The Line will have to work inside out to give Baxter the help he’s gonna need. The guards will be giving extra looks inside to baby him and that leaves the tackles out on Islands.
And I don’t know any Jet fan who wants to take a trip to Wayne Hunter Island.
