Roster Moves
Obviously the trade deadline has come and gone, with the Jets making zero moves. However, since then, the FO has waived DT Martin Tevaseu from the 53-man roster and released OL Dennis Landolt from the practice squad. The waiving of MTV isn't very surprising, with the rise of DT Kenrick Ellis. Rex Ryan said today that he expects great things from Ellis, so this is probably just a sign that he is here to stay and will continue to man the rotation.
I expect Tevaseu to be signed to the practice squad in Landolt's place, should he clear waivers. As for Landolt, this is probably just a sign that Mangold is healthy, as we saw the last two games, and our depth is, in Rex's eyes, secure with Robby Felix , Vladimir Ducasse, and Robert Turner (when he gets healthy) (edit: Turner is on IR. LG Caleb Schlauderaff is the third backup). Tell us what you think in the comments below.

I don't like it.
MTV prevented a TD last night, simple as that. The Fins OLine got a nice push on the 3 or 2 yard line, and MTV was one of the only guys that got through and he stood up Thomas. If a big, young guy can do that, while we could also use him for depth at the same time, you’re telling me that we can’t spare him and cut a guy like, say, Josh Baker? Or Bilal Powell? Cmon man.
i think
that kenrick should have been active since day one. he played very well when ever he was in last night. in a year or 2, the guy is going to be a nightmare.

Heard Kenrick on ESPN radio earlier tonite...
Sounds like a cool guy. Wish we kept MTV on the active roster though. I’d like to keep those guys rotating and fresh all game long.

Or am I just imagining that
And That Is a JET FIRST DOWN!!!
No This is Patrick...
Yes, you're right.
My mistake. I had him confused with Caleb Schlauderaff, the backup LG.

They're playing a dangerous game with MTV.
Someone’s gonna take notice of him and snatch him up from us. He needed to stay on the active roster. As much as Dixon has been good, I don’t think he’s as good as Tevaseu in the long run. He’s gonna be a beast for some team—I just hope it’s for the Jets.
