Former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger died Friday night after a 10-month battle with cancer. He was 58. Heimerdinger, who worked under then-Titans coach Jeff Fisher, relinquished his coaching duties indefinitely upon being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer the day before last Thanksgiving. He was later fired by new Tennessee coach Mike Munchak in February. Heimerdinger spent two stints as the Titans' offensive coordinator -- from 2000 to 2004 and again from 2008 to 2010 -- and served the same position for the New York Jets in 2005. Heimerdinger was also an assistant head coach for the Denver Broncos from 2006 to 2007.
