Goodbye to David Wyatt
It is always a bit sad when a friend leaves us to move on to bigger and better things. You have probably noticed David Wyatt appearing less and less around here in recent months. He graduated from college last year and moved on to full time employment, which left less time to dedicate here. With things set to pick up even more, David has decided to step aside from the GGN staff.
Back in September 2009, I got an e-mail tip about a writer on Bleacher Report who was a big Jets fan as a prospect. It was Dave. I was very impressed with what I saw and invited him to join the staff. The rest as they say is history.
GGN was a small operation with few readers and fewer leaving consistent comments when Dave arrived. In no small part due to his tireless worth ethic, sharp football mind, wit, and intellect, this site has grown into the fantastic community it is today. I only wish I had the words to bring justice to how fantastic David was in the content he produced. I know I am not the only one who will miss him very much.
David will still offer his thoughts on his Twitter page. He has also told me he'll continue to drop in and leave some comments here so you will still be able to get in touch with him.
Here's to my friend, David Wyatt, and continued success in future endeavors.

Goodbye Dave and good luck
I don’t comment on this site a lot but Ive read just about everything posted here since I first found out about it. You’re a great writer dude. Best wishes for the future.
I remember because of you I thought this was a Jet fan site and a Jordan Shipley fan site at first. Haha
Oh yes that's right, I'm a Jets fan.

Appreciate the kind words and it was most certainly a very tough decision. I Enjoyed every single minute of writing for one of the very elite places for New York Jets talk. Met some of the most passionate, knowledgeable and fanatic Jets fans on here, and I have no doubt at all that GGN will continue to grow and be renowned for it’s dedication to all thing Jets
I’ll certainly be commenting as much as time allows to ensure I do my part for the growth of the site from the other side of the glass.
Thanks to John for the opportunity in the first place, as well as anyone who ever commented on any of my articles (even if it was to criticize lol )

best of luck david! a fantastic writer and jet fan. you will be sorely missed :)
btw, john i was just wondering here, but if you’re looking for a new writer is there any poss way you can attemt to try getting max v.v. formerly of jetskvetch, on board. i know he stopped his site b/c of the workload of school but maybe he would have time to just write a few articles rather than the rigors of running a site. i know i’m not alone in thinking this, but besides for the fact that he’s an amazing jets fan he’s also one of the very best and funniest blog writers i’ve ever read. i can only imagine how amazingly classic his piece wouldve been after we beat the pats. jetskvetch was my favorite alternate jets blog (ggn is best for news and fan community but jetskvetch was an absolute must read due to max. i think it would do the world of jets fandom a load of good to have max back in the fold. i think it’s at least worth a try :)
metsjetsknicksrangers.............can it get any worse?
i'm no Jets fan, actually a Panthers fan
but I know a good blogger when I see one, and I enjoyed your work immensely
good luck in the future

Sad to hear, you’re an awesome, knowledgeable writer and we’ll all miss your articles. I’m sure I’m just one of many that were looking forward to your scouting articles this year. Best of luck with whatever your future brings!

Best of Luck....
May your career follow the current success of your Norwich City Canaries and not like the current Chelsea campaign that I follow.
I hope your career falls apart.
What, everyone else was saying such nice things, I had to break it up :)
In all seriousness, I’ve always appreciated your input David, you’ll be missed here and please come back and visit all the time.
Good luck David!
I don’t comment very often, but I have read GGN daily for the last year or two, so I would like to express my appreciation for everything that you have done to make this site such a great place. I know I will miss your writing and wish you luck in all your future endeavors.
Best of luck

Just another terrible loss for Jets fans
Lots of luck David, you always made GGN that much better.
Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.
