Is This the Real Reason the Jets Lost Last Sunday?

Many people say that the Jets lost the AFC Championship game because of a Steelers' goal-line stand keeping the Jets at the one yard line. Most of these people, including myself, immediately blamed Jets' offensive coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer. Well after some review, maybe we should go a little easier on Schotty...

While you can question Schotty's playcall selection all you want, can you blame Schotty for the execution of the offensive players? While you may be thinking that the Jets offense was very good along the that drive untill then, maybe one player who shouldn't have even been starting blew it for them. Damien Woody, the Jets regular starting right tackle, was done for the year after sustaining an injury in the Colts-Jets game during the Wild Card Week. His replacement, Wayne Hunter, looked solid, but maybe his experience, or rather lack thereof, cost the Jets a shot at the Lombardi Trophy. According to NBC's ProFootballTalk.com, Hunter may have tipped off the Steelers when the Jets neared the goal-line. And before you judge me, no Florio did not write this article, so go ahead and read on.

Here's the article:

Jets tipped their plays on Steelers’ goal-line stand
