Tannenbuam has gone against the Traditional GM logic of hoarding draft choices and always building for the future.

The future for the the Jets is now , and they have made it to the AFC Championship once again, due in part to three player rentals. The Jets parted with a third and fifth round pick, shipped LB Jason Trusnick and WR Chancy Stuckey to Cleveland for a character flawed, big salaried WR by the name of Braylon Edwards, a cancer in the Browns locker room. Antonio Cromartie was shipped out of San Diego for a premium send round pick in 2011 ( 64th pick !!). WR  Santonio Holmes picked up for a fifth round choice in 2010, would seem to be a deal without extensive risk. But nobody else offered the Steelers anything more, Holmes had to serve a four game suspension, is a free agent at the end of the season.

Mr.T took risk , but it has paid off big with all three players. Rex and his staff worked to integrate these players into productive members of this team, where other coaching staffs have failed. The front office and coaching staff is responsible for a large part of the success of this team. Let's hope the Jets can sign all three of these players for the future.
