There you have it. There's a lot of variety on the staff. Stay tuned for more Week 1 picks.

Wow.
Across the board guys. It sure is tough to win in the SuperDome, although I have a feeling the Vikes wil pull it out.
I don’t think any of us can root for Favre.

Why the Favre hate?
Makes no sense to me, the guy came in here and had us on the way to our best season since 1998, before he got hurt. What did he do wrong? How could you be a football fan and root against Brett Favre?
What he did here is irrelevant, I’ve never liked the guy. Just don’t like the guy, it’s easy to be a football fan and root against Brett Favre. The thing I don’t understand is why do people think you can’t root against a player just because he is a legend?

I just don't get why anybody doesn't like him
He seems like a real dude, not a robot like most star athletes. I just love watching him play, I hope he plays forever. I get people get annoyed by the speculation about him every year, but he never asked for that, I just never thought of Favre as a hate-able athlete like some guys are.
I’m not saying you can’t root against him, I just was wondering why. I could see hating Dan Marino, I was just wondering why all the resentment towards Fav-ruh.
The guy used to be my favorite non Jet. I have nothing but respect for what he did here. He did his best and played hurt.
I don’t like him because of the way he treated the fans in Green Bay by going to Minnesota. I normally don’t think much of athlete loyalty, but he was a god in Green Bay. There was no reason for him to go there aside from selfishness.

Because he holds franchises hostage and loves all the attention to himself.

How do you know he loves the attention
He didn’t ask for cameras to come to his hometown and for Ed Werder to be outside his car everywhere he goes. As for holding teams hostage…. we all knew he was playing this year, he just doesn’t want to go to camp.
I just hope if you hate Brett Favre, you really hate Darrelle Revis. Favre isn’t holding out for more money, just “deciding” if he wants to play, which we all knew he would.
And again, for the loves all the attention himself, it doesn’t seem like it, he lives in a small town with his family and does Wrangler commercials. Doesn’t exactly scream attention whore, especially compared to the mass amount of professional athletes that you can make a much better case love the attention far more then Brett Favre.
Didn't mean anything personal by it, by the way,
I was really responding to Ryan, because of the I don’t think any of us could ever root for Favre comment. It’s not like he did something to make Jets fans hate him.
Didn’t take it personally mate, no worries. Just never understood the flip side of he argument of rooting for the guy. There is just something about the guy that I really don’t like.

Revealing that he played injured made me hate strongly dislike him. There was no reason for it but to make an excuse for his poor play, and it resulted in the team receiving a fine.

Now let's go eat a goddamn snack!
meh
we all knew how hurt he was anyway. He was throwing quackers the last 6 games. Fair enough though, agree to disagree.
That made me dislike Mangini more I think, Favre’s arm was shot and it was hurting the team, I would have preferred to see us sit him but his reputation meant we couldn’t,
