Excellent Article on Rex Ryan

The New York Times Sunday Magazine wrote an excellent piece on Rex Ryan.  Very well written, very good piece for highlighting his career arc, why the players love him, what makes him tick, etc.

I'm getting pumped to see Gholston take someone's head off on Monday night.  I have a feeling he is going to have a big year....

Check out the article by clicking (here), great precursor to get warmed up for Monday night's game!

Rex sounds like a bit of a player back in the day, playboy bunny ;-) A hat tip to you my son.

(yes that is what I took out of an article on Rex and football lol )

So begins the annual ritual

of someone saying Gholston will have a break out.

No kidding. I got a funny feeling, however, this is the last year he’ll be around to inspire false hope.

the part about rex vs peyton put the biggest smile on my face. i truly believe that if we play the colts this year in the playoffs, rex will know how to shut down their offense.

I think so too. It’s not even just a matter of scheme either—we have a better secondary now.

The author

Ken Dawidoff is a Pulitzer prize winner iirc. He wrote an amazing book about Moe Berg, a backup catcher who played in the Majors for a decade, who was also a polymath genius and OSS/CIA spy.

It’s always a real joy to read well crafted sports journalism. If players love Rex as much as the author claims, than that’s gonna draw a ton of talent. It’ll also save a ton of money, as players will take a pay cut to play for this man.

This was a great article by him. And it’s awesome that he managed to insert a Big Lebowski reference in there, too.

Great read. Being able to see all 22 players on the field in real time would be a great ability to have as a coach.

Awesome article. I immediately forwarded it to my friends who are Jets fans once I was done. It got me that much more pumped for the Baltimore game.
