What about...
Brashton Satele? And James Hardy would have been a good pick up as well…
This is very strange because I’m sure that I saw a person (Brad Biggs) from National Football Post that said he had spoken to the agent of Gilbert and he had confirmed he was on the Jets practise squad……very strange.

I will be really upset if Washington is not on the practice squad. That kid played his heart out all summer long, and there should always be room for a guy like that on a team.
And I still do not believe that McKnight is the better RB right now than Washington is. I realize we traded up and used a 4th rounder on him, but sometimes is it not better to just admit we f*cked up and quickly fix our mistake rather than let a mistake drag on and on costing us a valuable roster spot as we try to make the Super Bowl.
I agree with you completely. I dunno if anyone remembers but I was generally pretty damn pissed about that whole situation with the trading Leon and drafting him… and right now it looks like i’m being proven right. >_>
However the thing is that Chauncey Washington, while an excellent special teamer and all that, kinda sucks as a RB, while McKnight can be one hell of a return guy plus has loads more potential, so I’m not really sure it ends up making much of a difference. If anything, I’d promote Washington ahead of Woodhead I guess and even that is a sketchy decision. We should just be glad that we have an overabundance of borderline talent I suppose!!!
I doubt you can be proven right until Football actually starts.
Like I have kept bringing up, Leon was dreadful in his rookie preseason. The only reason he made the team was because the extent of our running back depth consisted of Leon, Derrick Blaylock, and Cedric Houston. If we had two established backs like we do right now, you guys would have probably had us keep Cedric Houston over Leon, because he had “heart” and ran hard, and Leon stunk it up that preseason.
Luckily, Mike T and Rex are far more intelligent than anybody posting on this blog (not a shot at you exystence), and won’t cut somebody based on fake football that doesn’t actually mean anything.
Well....
And I still do not believe that McKnight is the better RB right now than Washington is.
Joe McKnight would have been scooped in a minute. Washington…. no. You don’t draft a running back for upside in a late round and then cut him because he fumbled in games that don’t count.
Why is Drew Coleman still on the team.?
