Jets claim WR Patrick Turner
The New York Jets have claimed wide receiver Patrick Turner(notes) off waivers from the Miami Dolphins, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation confirmed.
The Dolphins cut the former third-round draft pick from USC on Saturday
Turner played in two games last season and didn't register a catch.
At USC, Turner was productive with 138 career receptions for 1,752 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Turner has excellent size for a possesion wide receiver at 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds.
At worst, maybe a little inside info on the Dolphins?

Maybe he's Sanchez' buddy
I originally thought that this was just to pump him for the Phins’ playbook, but then I realized that this guy was a favorite target for the Sanchize in college – especially in the end zone.
Your original thought was probably correct. I don’t see the Jets going with a lot of 4WR sets, and unless he’s supposed to replace Coles as a plugin for the first 4 games that Holmes will miss, it’s got to be purely for info.

I hope he turns out to be really good...
Anybody have any info on this dude?
GANG GREEN ALL DAY!
You see, it's not about how you won the game, it's about how you played the game.... there's a difference.
John just posted some info about him on the main page.
