Howard Green Cut to Make Room for Trevor Pryce
The man on his way out to make room for Trevor Pryce is Howard Green. There is a caveat, though:
Green is expected to be re-signed as soon as Monday.
That would be the third time in the past twelve months the Jets have let Green go. Might he start feeling unwanted?
I can't say I'm thrilled he's the one to go. I think he has been playing well. The Ravens thought they were going to resign Pryce. What is to stop some team from snatching up Green? Now Sione Pouha doesn't have a backup for this week. Why couldn't Patrick Turner or David Clowney go? The Jets can always split Dustin Keller or LaDainian Tomlinson wide if they need an extra receiver.

it's been about nine months of questionable moves for the Jets
Remember they looked at Terrell Owens and try to claim Trent Edwards off wavers. I have to admit it seems almost every move they make have me shaking my head.

Maybe with Clowney they are afraid of “pick the brain wars” either with the Bills or Vikings. Perhaps they are planning to throw in those games. Also, can’t you imagine Favre throwing to Clowney, they need wideouts?

The Bills and Vikes could just as easily pick up Green
Even with our depleted secondary, I can’t imagine Clowney consistently getting open.

Green likely knows very little about the Jets passing game, and I somehow doubt Farvre will be throwing passes to Green, even if the Vikings do pick him up.

He knows plenty about the way the defense will attack those offenses, though.
Favre won’t be throwing passes to him, though.

Favre knows the offense pretty well himself.

yeah I was not thinking about that.....
In an Ideal world, I would have all ten fingers on my left hand so my right hand could just be a fist for punching.

Which is why I QUALIFIED my guess by this:

I don’t see how we’ll have room for Green after Holmes comes back, if we don’t have room for him now.

He works also I forgot him from last thread.
He is prob before Clowney

My guess is that they were comfortable with the current depth chart balance
Didn’t wanna leave themselves with an extra defensive player in place of an offensive player, I suppose. I dunno if it was the right move but I’m guessing if anything happens to a d-lineman, they can use Taylor and Thomas if necessary.
