Remember Herm in game and clock management issues ?

This is a team that can adjust the gameplan and play smart football

All I have to say is

As good as this team looks right now, imagine when the most dangerous offensive weapon on the field every Sunday (Holmes) gets back. Watch out! Also, in a week or two we get back an all pro and a pro bowler to the defense. This team could be very scary in about 2 weeks.

Holmes, a healthy Revis and Pace…I think even with us doing well our offense and defense take big steps which would be good considering we haven’t really been pushovers without them.

Dont forget, what we did in Miami was not only without Holmes, Revis and Pace, but also without Jenkins and an injured Mangold and Taylor. So really, we are talking about 4-6 pro bowl calibar players out or playing hurt last week.. If we can get and stay healthy, this team can really grow as the season progresses.

Sanchez looks great too. The stat on TV said it all, no ints in the past 5 regular season games.

When... and WHEN...

Revis is back up to form. I’m still pissed about him missing the preseason. He’s a big reason we’re 2-1 and not 3-0 right now.

I look forward to seeing how Holmes integrates. Having him and Edwards on the field at once with Sanchez playing well is gonna be sick.

REXS' RATING

I BELIEVE IN A WHOLE SEASON TO RATE A COACH. WEEK BY WEEK IS OK FOR THE TALKING HEADS BUT I WANT TO SEE THE SUM TOTAL OF A COACHS WORK.

Jeticus Rex

In spite of B-Schott’s inept game planning.

Rex—-it means King in Latin

King.....

Sounds good to me!

You see, it's not about how you won the game, it's about how you played the game.... there's a difference.

What was wrong with shottys plan last night?

Usually I am as big of a Schotty critic as there is, I was pleased with him last night though.

by dookiehead on Sep 27, 2010 2:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, for real.

I think the offensive play calling has been good the last two games. It wasn’t overly conservative, Sanchez is airing the ball out and I liked when they lined up in the WC on 3rd and 15. I like to see teams take interesting chances like that now and again. That’s how you keep a defense honest… even when it doesn’t always work out.

By the way...

I was pleased with Schott’s joint too!

GANG GREEN ALL DAY!
I put God first! Anything else comes a distant second, next to a cross-country third.
Being that I'm Nigerian, being a Jets' Fan only comes natural... it's all about that old Green and White.
You see, it's not about how you won the game, it's about how you played the game.... there's a difference. If you don't understand this, then you're losing big time.

DB Coaching

Rex needs to adjust his bravado and arrogance and coach Wilson & to a lesser extent Cromartie on their technique and not put them in straight man
with no help. With Revis and Pace back maybe that works, but not without them! Time will tell how Wilson adjusts, but so far he’s very inconsistent and looks like a rookie.

JETS,JETS,JETS

Great game plan by SHOTTY he can keep this offensive humming and sanchise making wise descions and were looking good- defense picked up the slack but please kyle wilson turn around and look for ball you could of had several picks if you knew were the ball was, stupid drive killing pnalties have to stop.

Revis

Speaking of coaching, I hope they’re smart enough to keep Revis out for an extra week. If we can hold the Pats and Phins without him, we can hold the Bills. Lot of hard games on the schedule and better they make sure he’s in game condition. He was far from his usual presence in 1H against Pats, not at all the Revis everybody is counting on.

by crmorris on Sep 27, 2010 4:41 PM EDT reply actions

Don't underestimate the Bills...

I know everyone wants to write them off as a doormat but…

Dolphins: 15 – 10
Patriots: 38 – 30

The second one is troubling because they put up more points than we did against the Pats and they did it in Foxborough. The Pats had to come back to win. I mean, they did lose two games, but Green Bay is the only team that’s made them look like cupcakes. I’d like us to be the second team to do so, but we won’t if we go into it with the wrong attitude.

I like Rex but he is too skinny

He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is
