Rex Withholds Game Ball From Braylon Due to Endzone Dance
WR Braylon Edwards caught a touchdown pass in Sunday's victory and also provided some great blocking down-field on various plays, helping lead the Jets to victory.
HC Rex Ryan was happy with his performance on the field, but not with his extracurricular stuff.
"I brought it up in the meeting," Ryan said. "I told him he played a great game and we would have given him a game ball, but didn't because of those things. I love the way he played. He was really into it, but you're killing us."
Probably just sending a message. John spoke about this yesterday, and neither of us felt the end zone dance was much of a big deal. Still, it's nice to see Rex reinforcing that he keeps his guys in line.

If this is keeping guys in line. . ..
i’d hate to think of this team getting out of control. Braylon you are a FOOL! the Jets would be idiots to give you any substantial guaranteed money. not only do you have a history of dropping balls, you acted like a clown Sunday with the celebrating, then top it off with a DUI. the Jets will only sign 1 of you two (Braylon and Santonio), and the team raved ALL preseason about how GREAT Holmes has been. Hope you’ve been renting your place in NY Braylon. It’s been real.
