Your Thoughts?
I'm not really sure there's a lot we can take from a game with backups and the most vanilla of vanilla schemes.
Some guys like Mark Brunell, Chauncey Washington, and Matt Kroul looked pretty good.
What did you take from this game?

I love Holmes.
Can’t wait to see him for the regular season. Clowney was quiet….again
Not that Holmes has anything to prove, the guy is obviously a really good WR… but he was playing against guys tonight that are probably going to be selling insurance next week. It was kind of silly to see him out there. I guess they figured they needed to get him work.
I’m just happy to the preseason done.

Holmes Y.A.C is going to make us a hard offense to stop
he is very elusive and hard to tackle.
Chauncey Washington, Danny Woodhead, Gholston (again), all looked good
Brunell looked awful and now has 3 and outs on 8 of 16 drives this preseason.

I think there was a night and day difference between this game and the rest of the timed he played
his passes had zip and he moved well. This game he kind of looked like a backup QB
"Sorry bro, he Jason Bourned me"- Drama
Brunell actually did pretty good. He wasn’t in there with the starters except for Holmes, and he’s only been with the team for a month, so I don’t realistically think we should have expected 21 for 25 with 4 TDs and 300 yards.
well that was never my problem
before last night he looked like a washed out college player who could not make NFL throws. Last night he looked so much better
"Sorry bro, he Jason Bourned me"- Drama
my concern was
I’ve always thought of him as a sack magnet, but honestly I can see why they made him number two with that performance. It was nothing special but he looked much more comfortable then Clemens has ever looked back there, even without knowing the offense too well. He’s not fast and he knows he’ll get hit but I saw him stay composed, take the hit and make the right play numerous times.
That’s something both Sanchez and Clemens still need to learn.
I still like Kellen though, I think he’s a capable back up plan

I'm glad you don't buy into preseason game #4 either, John
I hate this game, every year. Worst of the season, it’s so useless.
More reason we need an 18-game season. Two preseason games will be fine.

I disagree, Matt. I think we found out a lot about the team tonight, especially Joe McKnight. I think it was also good for Sanchez to be able to call some plays and see things from a different perspective.
and the home of the... JETS!!!

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
No, like I said before it’s my favorite preseason game. You get to see guys you wouldn’t usually see. None of the preseason games really mean squat. It’s nice that everybody appreciates it when this one comes around.

Brunell might actually have a little bit left in the tank
Of course that doesn’t help when he still plays poorly but at least he showed some arm strength tonight.
Clemens looked good in limited action even against second stringers.
Love me some Santonio
Sanchez already has the appearance of an OC down pat lol, even if his play calling was really Vanilla.
Can’t wait for games that actually mean something already

Is That Brunnel?
Or did the Jets put the Bronze Colossus on the field?

The blocking for Conners fumble run was text book.
If he had stayed on his feet he could have been gone. I hope the coaches still see the value of running the fullback dsespite that trip-up. Conner Is either the starter or the back-up. Either way they can run him from time to time for solid gains without the threat of injury with no back-up. Run the Terminator Rex!

Gholston looking better
I’m not saying he has had a sudden turnaround and is going to be a superstar but -- Gholston is looking much better this pre-season and I think he will be able to contribute to the defensive efforts this year for the Jets.
Not to beat a dead horse here – but I really liked what I saw from Chauncey Washington (again). I think this kid has to make the team. And I still prefer to see Woodhead with the ball in his hands, over Joe McKnight. I know he was a 4th rounder, hence essentially guaranteed a spot on the roster; but I just don’t see him making any positive impact to this squad this season. I guess having that “extra” roster spot for the first 4 games of the season due to Holmes could help with the McKnight situation – but I will be upset if we cut a guy like Washington or Woodhead or even the little Larry – on account of McKnight.
Well one down already
Just heard from Bonnie Bernstien that Larry has been cut. Also Davis.
