Sanchez Makes SI Cover
Just to add to the hype, the Jets now have to beat the Sports Illustrated cover jinx. The magazine's NFL preview issue hit newsstands today, and Mark Sanchez is the cover boy.
The magazine likes the Jets to take the AFC East. Ben Reiter previews the Jets:
The Jets are a brash and entertaining mishmash of highly skilled specialists brought together in the hope that they will collectively achieve that greatest of NFL heists: making off with the Super Bowl trophy, which the franchise hasn’t won in 42 years.
The magazine doesn't like the Jets to win it all, though. Peter King likes the Steelers over the Packers in the Super Bowl.

Very nice cover, I guess I will go and purchase it instead of my usual, stealing it from my dentist office…lol
Bingo!
no...no...
don’t be hasty now, you can always steal the dentists copy for work and keep the other for home.

Wait...
Does the jinx apply to the cover or the pick?
It’s the cover jinx.

i'm with you
the steelers have no standouts on all three sides of the ball. sure they have rapistburger, but with holmes, who does he have left? heinze ward? so we have a rapistburger and the dirtiest player teaming up under a very mediocre o-line. plus, i don’t recall their ground game being anything better than ok without the Bus. their defense is good with troy polamoula (or however u spell it…), but he’s a big part of it, and if he doesn’t stay healthy, dont expect much from the ‘Steel curtain’. also, i never found their specials teams particularly good….
no, the steelers are a very mediocre team and i’d be shocked if they can pull off a 9-7 record. even if they do, the Ravens and Bengals are still in their division. Plus the Pats will be vying for a wildcard spot (hopefully!). so i’m looking forward to watching the steelers miss the playoffs-again.
Packers are a good pick though, I’m split between them or Nawlins repeating… to come out of the NFC.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
Steelers? really?
my little bro is a steelers fan and i rag on him that big ben and santone leaving is gonna equal an 8-8 season lol
If the Steelers make the playoffs, it will be a solid accomplishment. I’d be surprised.
