GGN Contest ENTRY Thread: "What Irritates YOU Most About Tom Brady and the Patriots?"

Also, belicheat remolding his aging team to a spread offense and running up scores. Instant karma on polian whining defensive holding into relevance… Still not sure a 50td season was worth enduring to keep pats DB’s from mugging people up and down the field.

Maybe a bit vexed about their success, maybe a little. Just a bit. They won a superbowl, right? I think they might have nabbed one in the 2000’s but I’m not sure.

I grew up in Long Island, NY and Jets (and Mets) fan. Twelve years ago I was transferred by my job to Massachusetts.

At first it was not so bad. I knew I would always keep my teams I liked, and the Boston fans were very humble and you almost had some sympathy for them. Almost, but I still didn’t like them. I remember sitting in a bar in Massachusetts when Testaverde was hurt by the Patriots and knocked out for the season. The dirtbag Patriots fans were so happy. This was in addition to the Belicheck resigning as the HC of the NYJ shortly afterwards. Just irritating.

This really began getting bad when Tom Brady and the Patriots won the first of their Super Bowls (in addition to the Red Sox winning years later). These previously humble fans became so cocky and smug it made me physically sick.

These fans just don’t get it. What must come up must come down. The fans up here just don’t understand. They only know what it is like to have ONE team in each sport, not two or three. My children, also Jets fans, go to school where just about everyone likes the Patriots and all they wear at the school is Patriots attire. It is so bush league- as everyone from NY knows, part of the fun was arguing with friends and classmates about which NY team is better. None of that here- this small market can only support one team in each league. So my kids even have to listen to these cocky Patriots fans.

The Patriots even put me in the awkward position of having to root for the Giants during the Super Bowl a few years ago. It was great 16 and 0 and losers of the Super Bowl. Before the game, all you saw was Patriots jerseys. Afterwards, all you couldn’t find one anywhere!

And to top it off- where does Tom Brady live? Not Boston but in New York! And he hates the Jets? He will be another one that comes crawling over to the Jets at the end of his career which I know is soon. I hope if that happens they take his play book and then cut him.

So in short, I would love to win this contest to go party with Jets fans in a real city. Even Brady, as irritating as he is, knows New York is better.

Being a Jets fan in Boston, getting to use the terms “Belicheat”, “Cheatriots”, “Spygate” every chance I get, and some time in the near future, watching Belicheat kiss Rex Ryan’s ring: PRICELESS!

What doesn’t irritate us?

I guess Tom is probably reading this during Eat Pray Love; Up next on the list is Never Been Kissed, Sixteen Candles, Bridges of Madison County and Tom’s personal favorite, The Notebook.

Problems will arise when Gisele comes home to find Tom wearing her Lingerie, whispering sweet nothings to the phone. Who’s on the line you ask? Belichek.

Gisele will then announce she’s leaving Tom for his ex Bridget Moynahan. Two weeks later he will find her out and about with Antonio Cromartie. WHOOPS! =-)

Lately, what irritates me the most about Tom Brady is the fact that he tried to act tough to the media by saying that he hates the jets and he won’t watch hard knocks as a result. However, that’s not why he doesn’t watch hard knocks. Everyone knows that he doesn’t watch hard knocks because he has no need to considering the patriots already tape all of the jets practices….

Is a comment necessary?

but I will be at school (Boston College, so much fun to be around Pats fans, although 3 of the 5 people in my apartment are Jets fans) so rather than saying what I hate about Tom Brady I will say what I love about him.

I love that he was gracious enough to never appear on entourage again after his first attempt
I love that he and Bill Bellicheck are so open about their relationship
I love how guards at his wedding shot at reporters

Here’s a personal reason, I went to the Jets Pats playoff game a few years ago and their fans might be the most obnoxious fans in the world.

Tom Brady is really former Pats QB Jim Plunkett after lipo and Heidi Montag surgery….

I always loved broadway joe,after that I have hard time thinking of any longtime JET worth much the last 40 years except JOE KLECKO I don’t know how he put up with Gastiaeu and his SON WON RING WITH THE pats AND COLTS i FOLLOWED THE PATS SINCEJIM Nance and I remember when marty schottenhiemer played for the pats and billsI remember Nick Buonicontti with the pats so don’t ever say I did ’nt suffer all those years.

He was a really nice guy, with a couple of adorable young daughters at the time. It’s amazing how badly broken down he was physically – he had a heart attack and stroke a couple of years before I met him, when he was like 40 years old which partly paralyzed him. And he died before the age of 50.

First and foremost, any self respecting NY’er has to HATE all things Boston…..Pats, Celts, Red Sox, New England Clam Chowdah, the stupid accents, etc. I hate the idiots in NYC who instantly became Red Sox fans after Boston finaly won a World Series for the first time in 3 generations, when all these hicks came out of the woodwork rocking Red Sox hats. That drove me nuts. Walking down 2nd Avenue after the Sox knocked out the Yankees in the ALCS and some drunk Irish kids in Red Sox hats started screaming about how great they were…I ended up tackling one into a pile of garbage on the street (where the Pats will end up this season once Gholston knocks the snot out of Brady in Week 2).

But the Pats I think are even more annoying than the Red Sox or the Celtics. First and foremost, they have possibly the most hated coach in all of professional sports patrolling the sidelines in that stupid cut off sweatshirt look. Most teams, you never even notice the coach…but Bellicheat is everywhere. The TV cameras constantly capture that smug face of his, the commentators swoon over him like he is a Victoria’s Secret model, and the people of Boston adore him like a rock star. Watching him devising some crazy defensive scheme with his clipboard blocking his mouth, while some intern in the booth is probably telling him exactly what the other team is calling as said intern has tapped the radio waves of the other team. As fans, how can you be so proud of your Superbowl rings when the league has proven that your coach and team are cheaters?

Then there is Tom Brady. That cleft on his chin is the size of the Grand Canyon. At first you have to respect what he has done in this game, and its even more impressive considering he was primarily a backup in college and was a 6th round pick. Any team could have had him, including the Jets. So shame on us for missing on his talent. But he is a Pat and that cleft annoys me. In a commercial he comes across as a cardboard cutout; a guy with no personality…And then when I saw him make his cameo on Entourage – he was such a tool. This guy probably never would have even gotten a girlfriend (much less a model) if he wasn’t an NFL QB1. Oh, yeah, he also is married to one of the hottest girls on the planet – I HATE this dude. And he tries to sound cool by claiming he doesn’t watch Hard Knocks…..please…..Gieselle probably watches it and thinks how she should get with Sanchize instead as at least he has a personality.

I really can’t hate on Randy Moss – as he has helped me win Fantasy the past 2 seasons…but since I don’t have him on my squad this year – would be happy to see him have a horrible year.

And Wes Welker is kind of the everyman (an even more talented Wayne Chrebet). He looks like he could have been your college roommate, your next door neighbor, they guy you were carrying coolers of beer to the beach with last weekend, the dude delivering pizza to your house last night. But he is just a stone cold killer – and possibly the most lethal member of the Pats roster. That makes it even worse. Put him on any team but the Pats and the Fins and I think most of us would root for him. But on the Pats its like a cruel twist of fate. Its akin to your best friend dating your sister….nothing fun about it.

I dream about the day when the Pats are the Buffalo Bills of the AFC East, a team who’s season ended with the draft. A team who may as well move to Toronto to be relevant. A team we never have to worry about….

i hate the patriots because they keep winning, but not for like 6 years and our jets never win. i hope this is the year because everytime i say i like the jets people always laugh like giants fans. i hope we win this year because i hate when people laugh at me.

i hate the Pats cause they’ve been the best team in the NFL over the past 10 years. I’m jealous of their 3 Super Bowl wins, especially since the Jets haven’t won in 40 years. I hate that the Jets are 3-12 against the Pats last 15 games.

I’m jealous of Tom Brady cause he’s really cute and rich and has a supermodel wife.
