HC Rex Ryan is the most interesting man in the NFL.

FB Tony Richardson is looking forward to tonight's practice at Hofstra, especially since he doesn't have to cross the GWB.

C Nick Mangold was excused from practice yesterday to ensure he won't get hurt before signing his big contract.

NFL FanHouse's Dan Graziano's sources have confirmed that the Jets are close to signing CB Darrelle Revis.

Meanwhile, beat writers can only report on the conflicting reports.  Here is Jenny Vrentas's take for The Star-Ledger.

Rich Cimini for ESPN New York.

And here is Manish Mehta's for The Daily News.

Although Tim Cowlishaw has hinted that it's up to the player to decide when to show up, The Daily News's Tim Smith writes that it's up to the team to decide when to show the money.

Former Jets QB Boomer Esiason believes Gang Green can still win without Revis.

Redskins QB Donovan McNabb won't play on Friday.  On a side note, remember the last time we played a preseason game against the Redskins?  Our starting QB Chad Pennington didn't play either.  And rookie RB Leon Washington had a pretty good game in Washington.  And if I remember correctly, we also had some good option plays out of WR Brad Smith.

Our current starting QB Mark Sanchez will wear a knee brace from now on.

WR Laveranues Coles may not see much playing time on Friday, but hopes to showcase why he is The Sizzle Man at game four.

LC didn't have much to say about Washington owner Dan Snyder.

S Eric Smith plays like a Jet.

I still can not understand how either Ahmed Carroll, or Justin Miller, could not beat out Drew Colman on the depth chart.

Well because those guys are pretty the same as Drew—speed demons without good cover skills—except they have even WORSE cover skills :S

They have to be a bit better, to be drafted so much higher. I never thought Carroll got a chance here, and Miller did on his first stint when they were thinking he’d be a starter, but I didn’t see him get much time in dime packages on his second go around.

For the record, in Madden 10 I LOVED picking both of those guys up in free agency. LOL
