So, for the past two days there have been numerous posts arguing whether or not having Revis is the key to the Jets winning the superbowl. I think we all need to take a step back and realize that he is not the most important part of our team, and we have much bigger factors to worry about.
Rex is a defensive mastermind...I'm pretty positive he can figure out a way to make our defense work without Revis. Sure it would be a loss, but he is 1 players. Football is 11 on 11, not 1-11
The most important key to us winning a superbowl is the maturation of Mark Sanchez by far. If he does not take huge step forward in his progression we will not get anything. That means no 5 INT games, cutting down fumbles, and making mistakes that a real franchize QB wouldnt make. Everyone raved about his playoff performance, but you have to remember that he played great, but did not put up huge numbers at all. There are going to be times when we have to put up points....can Mark lead us there? Against the Colts he could not!
I am confident that Mark can shine....but its time everyone realizes that Mark Sanchez is key to a championship.
