It’s all about me baby! Woody should just turn over ownership to me. Afterall, I almost went to the Super Bowl. Those other 10 guys out there on D had nothing to do with it. Forget about them. IT’s IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-land.

Yup. Lets pay the best defensive player of our generation like we would an average corner and expect everybody else to do the same. And if he doesn’t like it, we’ll just tell the real defensive MVP to take a hike. Because… you know… he’s just not worth it.
So based on his performance thus far, 2007-2009, your conclusion is that you have seen enough to claim him the best defensive player of a generation?
We don’t know the offers the Jets have made, I’ll make the safe assumption that they exceed 10mm per, and you think that is plus or minus what the average corner makes?
The sarcasm was intentionally laid on thick but the exaggeration appears to be an unintended accomplishment.
Based on what i saw last year, yeah. I’ve never seen a player shut down #1s all game every game. Thats crazy. He’s still very young. I have no reason to think he won’t be able to do it every year. Its not like he benifitted from an elite pass rush. He created the pass rush by freeing up a safety to blitz with. Without him, that defense was less than mediocre last year. With him they were number one. If he keeps playing like that, and he will barring injury, he’ll be the best defensive player ever.
