I listen to ESPN radio every morning, and I feel it very necessary to clarify something to fans.

A lot of people think Revis is justified because he could get hurt just like Leon and the Jets will just get rid of him. While that is true, it is important to remember that the Jets did in fact make Leon Washington a contract offer that paid him roughly $5 million a year. That is serious dough! Especially for someone not an every down back. The deal also had guarenteed Leon $5 million if he got hurt. Leon declined!!!! Leon getting hurt and the Jets getting rid of him can't entirely be blamed on the Jets. Leon was selfish and took a gamble. It did not pay off! To say the Jets didn't make him a fair deal is innapropriate and off base.

My point...leave Leon talk out of this. If anything the Jets were more than reasonable in their negotiations with Leon. It was his stupidity and greed that caused him to miss out! Its time the players take responsibility for being greedy.
