Contract Extensions for Rex and Mike T!
Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum have done a pretty damn good job in their short tenure with the Jets. In his first year as a head coach in the NFL, Rex lead the Jets to the AFC Championship game. Furthermore, GM Mike Tannenbaum has been excellent as a trade guru and in his selection of draft picks.
The result? NYJets' Twitter page shares the big news:
EA: Jets announce a two-year extension for head coach Rex Ryan and a five-year extension for GM Mike Tannenbaum. Both run through 2014.
GGN's David Vill adds that this deal was actually signed back in June, according to Jenny Vrentas in this recent Tweet.
Great to see they have been rewarded for their hard work. Rex seems to be the right fit and man of the future, and Tannenbaum has been excellent in managing player personnel.
Our own Ryan Alfieri makes a great point, stating that the extensions will run up through the year we are set to host the Super Bowl. So for Rex and Mike T., is it 'Super Bowl or Bust?"

Mike Tannenbaum's contract
Jenny Vrentas explains that he actually signed his deal in June, in case anybody out there is wondering whether Mike T. was worried about his own money instead of Revis and the rest.
and the home of the... JETS!!!

I've tried to email Revis, but it just shuts down my computer.
How is Rex doing on his diet and how much has he lost so far.
I guess we’ll have to wait for Hard Knocks on HBO.He was and is a prime Candidate for a heart attack and the Jets luck has been absent for a long, long time.
Wait, let me get this staight, someone had one good year and the Jets etand him and show him the money? Where are all the post saying Rex should have “coached” out his contract or that he only had one good year as a HC? They recognize Rex is special, so is Revis. Hopefully the next tweet says Revis is done!
