Joe McKnight Fails Conditioning Run

as per Jane McManus of ESPN New York:

Notably, RB Joe McKnight failed his conditioning run and won't practice with the team until he passes it. He was placed on the active non-football injury list.

Now I'm starting to wonder what the deal is. It was one thing when it was happening in some minicamp. Now he's had plenty of time to learn from it and correct it.

Let's not go overboard. This is small potatoes at this point. This just isn't the news anybody wanted to see. This probably jumped from nonissue to mild concern.

He just doesn’t want to be compared to Reggie Bush or Leon Washington.

Well right now he’s doing his best Leon Washington impression…

(actually I dunno, I haven’t really been keeping up on his situation, can he run yet?)

Not too sure, but I’m fairly certain he’s not 100% yet.

Wow...

…does this kid want to play in the NFL?

After throwup-gate, you’d think he’d get it together.

Really?

Opens the door for Chauncy Washington and Danny Woodhead. They will not cut McKnight but he may come down with a mysterious injury that lands him on IR for the season….

It is day 2

We don’t know if he had another chance, so maybe this is more than a slap on the wrist, this kid bettter not mess with Rex, seems the jets are taking this seriously…

based on his history they might want to repeat his physical and get some blood work done. mcknight may be suffering from some sort of anemia which reduces his ability to transport oxygen. therefore explaining his inability to pass simple drills.
just a thought
