Joe McKnight
What in the name of tarnation is going on with ol' Joe?
Yeah he sucked at the OTAs, no big deal. But now he failed the conditioning test? He's no Mount Cody, or Albie Haynsworth. Seems pretty inexcusable. I would have thought the embarrassment of the OTAs would have been enough. I guess not. Does this seem to be excusable to anyone else, or am I alone?
Has anyone heard of anything similar currently with any of the other rookies?

this is very scary—and potentially not very deep at this key position. Our #3 back from last year is our number 1…and now we have no number 3—is Marshan Lynch still available…..Shonn’s durability is a question mark—-i getting nervous about this development…I was hoping Mckinght was a darkhorse contributor like Shonn was last year.
Keeping me fingers crossed—go jets
Dude, you gotta calm down. Shonn will be fine. He’s 25 years old. He cant wait around forever. RB is different than a lot of other positions in that the younger, the better they are. RB’s peak in a few years, then decline quickly. He was the “#3” because he was a rookie…but he was clearly the most talented back on the roster.

Nonetheless, it's scary that McKnight is so out of shape
One would have thought that the OTAs would have been a serious wake-up call.
Shonn’s durability is a question mark
Really why? I mean he’s 5’11" 226lbs and had one injury last year at the end of the year, was not injured in college, and handled 300+ carries his senior year, does that really make you question his durability. He’s not injury prone, and not frail/small so why question his durability, anymore than any other back.
His durability is a question mark because he’s always getting hurt.
“One important thing to note for fantasy owners eager to take a look at drafting Shonn Greene is his medical history. In college at Iowa, Greene battled injury problems, and in his first year with the Jets he struggled with rib and ankle issues throughout his rookie season, probably due in part to his violent rushing style.”

Sanchez signed off on him.
Although I think Mark has some growing up to do, I don’t question his judgement. Mark vouched for McOutta shape so I can see it appears alarming, I am going to lets this play out before I start sweating this. Joe Mc is a bigger talent then his draft position so it has to be kept in mind that he fell for a reason. He might just need another swift kick in the ass for him to realize his full potential. He could really help the team this in a big way this year and I expect him to do just that.
Since the face been revealed the game got real
Much ado about nada.
This guy wasn’t drafted to be a work-horse. His touches will be limited to 3rd & longs and kickoff returns. So what if he gets gassed. He’s coming right off the field anyway.
Well said.
Besides, maybe he just fucked up? Honestly, I got nervous and failed my permit test twice trying to get my license back in the day, but I feel like I drive rather well. Maybe Joe just gets nervous. It is August 1st. If he is in shape 6 weeks from now that’s all I care about. This guy is electric on the field, so I’m not very concerned.
wasnt green injured in the AFC Championship game?
He only REALLY played a few regular season games and the playoffs. I hope he learns how to fall w/o sustaining season “nagging” injuries. I just want some insurance and Mcknight was it..
McKnight still is it.
Being slightly out of shape, or having some other issue that stopped you from performing right one day doesn’t make your talent go away. If this was 10 years ago we would have never even heard of this and McKnight would have played out the season with not many people even being aware of any conditioning test results.
