Jets Unveil Ring Of Honor: Class Of 2010
I know I'm a little late on this one, so apologies for that. Official release:
The New York Jets announced today that the team has created a Ring of Honor to celebrate Jets greats in their new stadium. The first class of inductees includes Weeb Ewbank, Winston Hill, Joe Klecko, Curtis Martin, Don Maynard and Joe Namath.
These six will be enshrined inside the stadium in both end zones. They will be officially inducted in a ceremony that will take place at halftime of the first game played at New Meadowlands Stadium when the Jets face the Giants on Monday, Aug. 16, at 8 p.m.
I don't think you can have too many complaints with that. A good discussion is probably who should be in the next 6?

Congrats to the inductees!
Obviously many will feel Chrebet was snubbed.
Not really going to comment on others and go further into this at the moment, because really not sure what their criteria was and what they were looking for.

I do have to say that I’m delighted that Curtis Martin got the recognition that he deserves with this induction. He deserves to be right up there with the elite of this franchise.

I agree. Curtis was awesome. I’ll also never forget his episode of MTV Cribs where he showed the world the urinal in his bathroom. I thought it was badass and great at the same time.

They’ll consider more players each year, so it’s quite possible Chrebet and Toon will be there someday.
and the home of the... JETS!!!

I've tried to email Revis, but it just shuts down my computer.
OK what the hell happened to Curtis Martin...
dudes only 37 years old and looks more like 50 in those pics.
Next group up:
IMHO the next ones in: Freeman McNeil, Wesley Walker, Lance Mehl, & Marvin Powell, & Matt Snell.
Next batch after that: Al Toon, Wayne Chrebet, John Riggins, John Elliott, & Randy Rassmussen
Revis will have to retire first.
How about the ring of dishonor?
My first inductees are: Johnny Lam Jones, Blair Thomas, Roger Vick, and Johnny Mitchell.
And the GM who drafted Ken O’Brien over Dan Marino.
Vernon Gholston becomes eligible as soon as they cut him.
