Got to admit that Patriots social media thing is pretty funny in my opinion. Hope the Jets come back with one. Maybe Jets fans have to hunt for the lost tapes of Jets signals….

Yup, it just comes with the territory of being division rivals. I did find it very offensive though a few years ago when they had that commercial with the Diet Pepsi Machine.

Revis redux....

So he’s clueless about the negotiations but yet states publically that he might miss some/all preseason? Isn’t that kind of a contradiction?

He’re some oldskool advice from oldskool jet. Honor your contract, respect the Green and get your butt to camp.

Years ago the Redskins went to the Super Bowl with an unknown RB names Timmy Smith. They won with him, and he tore up the records at the time with around 250 rushing yards. Next season he wanted a raise (even though he was under contract) and the Skins were willing to up his salary. However Mr. Smith’s salary increase that he wanted was astronomical and they waived him. Another team picked him up in pre-season, but he never played another down in a regular NFL game again. And he was around 24 and healthy at the time.

If this is a business (as it’s been alluded to be), then contracts need to have some meaning. None of us want Revis to sit out or worse, leave the team. But is any player bigger than the team?
