A Tribute to the Boys in Blue
The US Men's National Team takes on Ghana today in a must-win elimination game in World Cup play.
Coming off a dramatic win in the 91st minute against Algeria, they have advanced to the 'round of 16,' and a win would pit them against the winner of Uruguay/South Korea in the quarterfinals.
We at GGN hope our American viewers will tune in and show support for the Stars and Stripes, as this is a huge event globally and only happens once every four years. Yeah, it's kind of a big deal!
The game kicks off at approximately 2:30 p.m. EST, and can be viewed on ABC.
Come in and share your thoughts on the game, or a prediction on the score.

2-1 USA
If the US can prevent an early goal being scored against them, which has happened in two of the first three matches (and almost against Algeria but they hit the post), I think they have the speed to match up well against Ghana.
Ghana has not been able to score sans penalty kicks, and I pray the ref will not find a way to screw the USA as others have.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see a 1-1 draw in regulation either and USA winning in penalty kicks with Timmy Howard being the difference.

I'm lovin' this team!
GO USA!
Before you ask why I'm a fan of both the Cowboys and Jets, I'll just say the answer is complicated and that it just turned out that way.
The referee
will be someone coming from my country (Hungray); Viktor Kassai. He is a very, very good ref; with NO history of being controversial; so I hope he will be a no-factor in this game.
Good luck for the TEAM USA today!

That was a sad end, but you can’t have anything but respect for the job the Americans did in the tournament. I’d much rather lose because Ghana was slightly better today than on a blown call or something bogus like penalty kicks.

Yeah man...
I was so torn in this game. Always loved this team!!! I’m from West Africa (Nigeria) but born here in the States. I didn’t want to see these two play (bum refs). I would have been happy with either team winning this game. Unfortunately, the US lost, but for me… Africa is still alive. Just one team left and Ghana is holding it down for us.
GANG GREEN ALL DAY!
You see, it's not about how you won the game, it's about how you played the game.... there's a difference.
