Ten 2010 Predictions of the Jets and the NFL
So with the draft in the books, I thought I'd look deep into my crystal ball and reveal what it shows about the upcoming 2010 season. Some of these predictions are logical, some are possible, some are reaches, some are vague, and some are bullsh*t. All are in the spirit of fun.
1. The Jets will have the best season of all in the AFC.
2. Jets fans all over will adore Jason Taylor by week 9.
3. LaDanian Tomlinson will continue his decline and will be the second best running back on the team, behind Shonn Greene.
4. The Jets will sweep the Patriots and Bills, while splitting with the Dolphins.
5. Mark Sanchez will throw less than 16 interceptions in the regular season.
6. Neither the Saints nor the Colts will play in their respective conference championship games.
7. Kevin Kolb will be a good, not great, quarterback.
8. Due to a 6 game suspension of Ben Roethlisberger and being sans Santonio Holmes, the Pittsburgh Steelers will not make the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
9. The Oakland Raiders will rise to a level of minimal respectability.
10. Brett Favre will come back to play for the Vikings, but will not have a season nearly as good as 2009.

Raiders draft was excellent, now they have Jason Campbell they can start developing Louis Murphy and DHB. Things are definitely looking up for them, getting Bruce Campbell was a steal, and for once they actually drafted intelligently. Raiders fans should be very happy right now.

Cleveland will be .500 or better.
As much as I hate the guy, Mangini can coach. They really played for him down the stretch last year.
1. I will never, ever adore jason taylor
2. Raiders will win no more than 4 games= they still suck.
3. While LT will never return to his mvp form, I think decline is the wrong word and he takes a step in the right direction and actually has a very productive year .
And CB you are crazy, lol they didnt play for Mangini, That Kidd Cribbs won every game for them in the return game.

1. That would be great!
2. That would also be great, but why not earlier?
3. That wouldn’t be much of a decline. It’s basically what’s expected to happen. A real decline would be to say that he plays so badly that he gets cut halfway through the season. (I think he won’t play well, but won’t be cut during the season either)
4. Fine with me.
5. He’d better. I think he’ll be somewhere around 12, with over 20 touchdowns.
6. I think you’re right.
7. I think you’re right on this one as well.
8. You’re probably right on this one too. The Steelers are too dependent on specific key players.
9. Seems about right, although if they do as good of a job drafting as they did this year, they could be in the playoffs in 2-3 years.
10. I definitely hope so – in fact, I hope he has a bad enough season to decide to retire once and for all.
To add a couple of predictions of my own:
Thomas Jones will have twice as many rushing yards as LaDainian Tomlinson.
Kyle Wilson will have at least 3 interceptions.
The Philadelphia Eagles will be in the top 5 in the NFL in sacks.
The Arizona Cardinals will not break .500.
Kris Jenkins will be named to the Pro Bowl.
Officially contributing to worldwide confusion since 1997
My Ten
1. Buffalo wins 1 of its first 3 games and look respectable in the other…. When the Jets play them in week 4, the so called experts will call a “trap game.” The Jets will go on to win by at least 20
2. Cromartie is the most thrown at corner despite being pretty good in coverage
3. Cromartie goes on to lead the league in Interceptions
4. Vlad Ducasse is beat for a sack in week 1 for Haloti Ngata followed by John Gruden screaming " WELCOME TO THE NFL!"
5. Billicheat doesnt shake hands with Rex in the first game followed by huge anticipation by the espn for the monday night game vs new england in which absolutly nothing exciting happens
5.Brian Shottenheimer is rumored to go to a different team each of the last 2 weeks including the playoffs
6. Shotty coutinues to state he is happy where he is yet leaves the day after the jets season ends.
7. Drew Coleman is cut on Hard Knocks
8. On Hard Knocks Revis makes a reference to OchoCInco each episode
9. Not 1 jets Will be Visiting Hawaii the week before the superbowl
10. One week later 40 Jets will be popping Champagne
Bonus:
Don Shula and the 76’ Dolphins will not be popping any champagne this year

"2. That would also be great, but why not earlier?"
Week 9 at the latest ;)
Before you ask why I'm a fan of both the Cowboys and Jets, I'll just say the answer is complicated and that it just turned out that way.
Blow the Mavs up, please, Mark Cuban!
I think
3 will happen, 5 will be around true, the first half of 6 will happen, 9 will happen, and 10 will happen because Favre put up a nearly perfect season last year.
Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.
