And this is why:
First, we all know how good evaluators they are, almost all of Mike T's picks have contributed at one point or another, except for a couple of receivers and the one QB, Ainge. Rex Ryan can select the best of the UDFA's and develop them into either solid starters or at least decent players.
Second, considering all the future free agents in this club drafting too many players could hurt the budget and if the cap returns it would create more problems with either having to cut veterans or youngsters.
Third, the Jets have addressed all major needs and strengthen the defense, the only things that can be considered needs now are depth at the lines, and you will always have that need, and a blocking TE, but the Terminator can fit that need for next year.
Fourth, Gholston is better fitted with taking up a blocker as a DE than attacking the line, with his athleticism he can occupy a right tackle and allow the blitz to come through and he push the tackle back so a LB can stop the run. I think he would contribute greatly there.
But most importantly the management and coaching of this team have proven that they can get a team to achieve when it matters. We have great coaches in all positions and good brains everywhere you look, except some places in the field.
In REX I TRUST and this season I will root louder than ever before.
J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JETS!!!!!!!!
